"Old Skool" overclocking :)

socket 7 is old skool, but the performance is sooo slow that it doesnt make any difference lol

socket a cloking can actually yeild very good results (as hopefully we'll find out)

most likely going to take the board and chip from chex... found the volt mods for that board... so will whack a nice big HS on the lot and give it some volts :D

Well, it is what, 8 years old now?

In computing terms that is very old
Are you saying you're unfamiliar with older generations of technology?

Nothing more satisfying than seeing an old machine performing faster, when overclocked.

Not that i am unfamiliar no...

But, correct me if i am wrong here, 8 years is a long time for computers.

Oh, and I am only 16 myself so it is a long time for me too!

What is it with people thinking I am trying to say more than i have typed lately

Maybe it is, but I remember the days of pushing a 25MHz 486 SX to 33MHz and 40MHz.

Now THAT was a speed increase. Not like today, where people just overclock for 3DMarks. You could actually feel the difference.

Especially when you see your mate play on it after hes sweated it out through watching you fiddle with the bios. And he never even knew it could be done.Thought i was god he did.500mhz increase on 1700+ (cant remember stepping but nice chip)
