Who the hell is that annoying asshat fat man ?
What were they thinking putting him on a show, any show, anywhere? That voice! ARGH, shut up you irritating clown!

Do you mean OLD topgear, or the start of the facefilft shows (2000ish) ?

If the facelift, its the Jason guy, i thought he was ok actually, less annoying than VBH, Quentin Wilson etc from the old skool TG ... current team is best theres been IMO

I watched the 1st series (2002) last week as it happens, followed by the first ep of series 2 where James May is introduced and he shows us his bentley. They dont mention Jason leaving at all in the last ep of series one, and dont mention him at all in series 2 ep 1.

Strange, wonder what happened, would love to hear clarkson's view on it all, i didnt think jason was that bad really.

he didn't really do anything though did he? apart from the second hand deal of the week thing..
plus he went on to do lots of fantastic shows on uktv and whatnot ;p

Jason's a tool, have you seen him with that hatchet faced harpy on Used Car Roadshow? Cross between the michelin man and Ronald Mcdonald ffs. Annoying as hell.

Where did you see the first of the facelift series?. All of the repeats i've seen have always been post first series.

I'll be honest and say i downloaded them all. I realise this is against forum rules so please dont ask me where :)

I rather enjoyed the older Top Gear shows - it was less of a lifestyle show than it is now and more of a hardcore car show. However I rather enjoy TG from the entertainment point of view now, and you still get to drool over some nice cars at the same time :)

Whilst I agree to a degree, I can't help feeling the current TG team are a tad too "up themselves" and think they are funny.

In some respects they are, in others the show is simply (imo) cringe worthy.

Whilst I don't want TG to return to the boring days, I do wish they'd concentrate just a bit more on motoring & cars rather than how great they percieve they are.

A good example was last weeks episode, which was crap imo.

Similarly I agree to an extent, I'd like to have a bit more car reviewing and demonstration, a few more Stig challenges, or "sleeper" or more day-to-day cars being ragged the track.
