3 month course in subsistence crofting and then dropped on West Falkland.

"Outsource" to the Russian Federation or the DPRK.

Claim our right to mine Coal in Svalbard and set up a nice penal colony there to do so. (You will notice that this Prison has no walls. The, ever hungry, bears are your Guards! :D )

And so on.

Sooooo many possibilities!

One was an Asian lad who had kidnapped another lad who he 'thought' had stole his drugs.
He tied him to a chair in his Mum's kitchen and tortured him with the worst one being a hand drill forced through the side of his face.
It was his attitude when he was describing it as though it was a comedy.
He then said he regretted nothing even though the lad hadn't had his drugs because he would have had them.

I've got loads of those anecdotes from my 6 months there, it really made me realise there's no future for some.

That's the problem. Some youths really don't care what they do to others.

What place has this person on earth? They shouldn't be breathing anymore.

Those who do things like this have crossed a line. They should be excluded from society until they can demonstrate convincingly that they will not re-offend.

I would almost go as far as to suggest that future victims of re-offenders should have legal recourse over those that authorised their release. So that convincing would have to be very convincing indeed!
 
These religious/racial links being hinted at.

This abhorrent behaviour has been seen in youths of all countries. I would put it down to the glorification of western gang culture as much as anything else. These kids wanted to seem like they meant business and that you cant mess about with that lot. I don't see how its any different to the wannabe scum gang youth of america.

As for the sentencing, its a tough one. You cant fix this sort of thing in some people whether you give them 2 years or 20. Sometimes over sentencing at such an age could seal the scum in a life of crime, since they wont know anything else within their adult life. I will admit that in these situations the judgement of the experts are worth far more than my opinion and that the result from a sentencing at this age varies so much, that one individual of the same crime may feel remorse after a year while others may just regret being caught for 20 years.
 
I knew a lad when at high school who murdered a 19yo who did less than 2yrs. The lad was 15 when he took the skateboard and continually hit him over the head with the metal part.

Another dis86 thread - lets ignore the gazillion other cases this year alone, where teenagers have attacked and brutally murdered people and target the ones that are 'brown'.

Basically any gang who's ever loaned anyone anything ever? But obviously you haven't heard of these things nor ever witnessed them and come across a bit of a sheltered villager and don't have a clue about the decades old gang tradition of getting beaten up if you cant pay back your debts. If you want to associate yourself with gangsters and borrow things off them you have to understand the consequences of not doing business properly.

I could go make a "case" especially for you. It's not hard to borrow £80 of drugs off a local gang with no intention of paying them back then getting beaten up and running to the police. It happens all the time, in fact there are probably thousands of kids in London alone who owe a gang something in some form or another.

But obviously this makes the news and a bunch of people somewhere who have no idea actually start believing this is something unprecedented. People have been murdered by gangs for unpaid debts for centuries for goodness sake.

The thing about gang culture is the victim will almost never go to the police because they're criminals themselves. Heck I've met people who've been stabbed and they're begging not to take them to a hospital so don't talk about "cases" please. The issue of gangs goes far deeper than the news and your hate.
