Oled screen cleaning

No no, you need pure Nordic spring water that has then been distilled over a period of 3 years, you then take a microfibre which has been warmed to exactly 15 degrees, light some candles and say a little prayer.
But tap water will leave mineral deposits on your screen, I hear you cry!
My tap water has an EC (electrical conductivity) of 0.1
That roughly translates into a TDS (total dissolved solids) of 1 to 100 parts per million.
Your gonna need biblical amounts of water applied repeatedly over decades, maybe even millenia to leave mineral deposits on your screen at that concentration of dissolved solids.
If plain water doesn't remove a greasy smear, then a small spritz of regular multi surface cleaner on your moistened cloth will shift it just fine.

To tell you the truth...most of the time I just breath on it then wipe with microfibres. That usually works, and when that doesn't, the Zeiss wipes gets used.

No way would I use solvents or anything harsh, no chemicals
The issue is oled glass, it's pretty soft compared to gorilla glass and easy to scratch.

So these Zeiss wipes should be safe to use on an OLED?
The user manual for my AW3225QF says this:

@Raymond Lin I see that Zeiss also make a product for cleaning Smartphones which sounds more like what we are after no?

What exactly is the difference between these smartphone wipes and the lens wipes you linked too?
Ok copilot says that the lens wipes are gentler whilst the smartphone wipes are 70% alcohol.

Even for oily marks?
I have yet to encounter a mark on my monitor that hasn't been defeated by this combo of products. As always, YMMV, especially if you've been throwing baby oil over your monitor

The one I linked to is what I purchased back in 2017. I have used it in thousands, more like tens of thousands worth of lenses combined with no ill effects. I am just recommending what I have tried and worked.

Apparently MSI where bundling the Zeiss Lens Wipes with a purchase of an OLED monitor in Asia.

Ok I've tried the Zeiss Lens Wipes on my work mac book and my AW3225QF.
They are better to use than the distilled water is what I can say.
At least they don't streak and it disappears.
However... Warning do not get any smudges or anything on these oled monitors as they seem a nightmare to clean.
So what's happened is this...
Original problem was I had a oily dot on the screen which I tried to clean with the provided microfiber cloth and tap water.
This was a bad idea as it smudged the dot and left a white sheen on the monitor.
I've tried the Zeiss wipes this evening and they have improved it a little in that the smudge is still there you just have to get the right angle in the light to see it.
I then tried in my infinite wisdom to try the distilled water but this made it worse.
I then tried to clean the damage with more Zeiss wipes and now I have just spread the discoloration further.
It's nothing major as its completely invisible when the monitor is on but it clearly is there at the right angle and light when the monitor is off.
So in other words these monitors are a real nightmare to clean.
You know the rainbowing effect you get with oil well it's a little like that at the right angle and light with a white sheen underlay
The Zeiss wipes cleaned up the Mac book very well. But the AW3225QF has a different type of panel and just doesn't clean up well at all.
The other mistake I've done is trying to clean the oily dot in the first place with the provided microfiber cloth and tap water. I think if I had tried the Zeiss wipes from the get go it probably would have worked quite well.
