Turns out what i've actually been using is "Fellowes screen protector spray" which works surprisingly well. I didn't even realise it was screen cleaner as i had been using it on my glasses originally. Does a fantastic job on my monitor though!Ive been cleaning mine with some whiteboard cleaner spray from work with a microfiber towel and it comes up like new with zero streaks. Ill have to look up the brand of what I'm using tomorrow.
Started using it on my glasses originally and it worked better than the stuff opticians sell lol
These are what I have. 1 box lasts years. I bought mine in 2017.
It is good enough for my £2,000 Sony G-master lens which is full of coatings, it is good enough for a monitor. For a big monitor it might take 2 wipes but for small areas 1 wipe is enough.
The Zeiss wipes are good. But they have a few limitations.
1. They get very dry quickly. You maybe get 30 seconds of use out of them before you are basically like dry paper.
2. If you keep using them when dry they tend to flake.
I've stuck to plain water and a microfibre, until my son thought this was a good idea...

Tried the water thing but that just made more of a smeary mess, so I busted out the Method glass cleaner, took a deep breath and went for it.
It worked perfectly with zero side effects. I used it sparingly and sprayed the microfibre cloth, not the screen.
I know, henceYou shouldn't use glass cleaner like windex
but it wasn't cutting it (literally) in this case. It's not something I'm going to do all the time but good to know it doesn't immediately destroy the screen when needs must.I've stuck to plain water and a microfibre
