well perhaps he could enjoy singing it elsewhere, like in the shower
Apparently its been going on a while but they appear to do it in response to requests from photographers. Bit like kissing the Wimbledon Trophy I suppose.

If that line up is right its going to be pretty rushed given the end time is meant to be in an hour.
