I know what you were trying to do, but your chosen examples didn't really work, and the winking smiley nearly always comes across as cocky to me. There's still plenty of humour in this forum...

Well damnit get in there, I gave you Manic Compression ages ago, and their first album is equally as good.

Tom Capone (Quicksand guitarist) went on to play with Handsome who are one of my top 5 bands ever, just a shame they split after just the one (incredible) album.

got it. it's ok, but i havent really gotten into Quicksand in a big way...not given them enough of a chance. i think there's a lot to be said for good production. as a personal preference, i find it very difficult to listen to badly-produced music.

True, I wasn't talking about badly-produced music....just something with a bit more of the raw power factor. a lot of these albums lately seem to bee un-naturally slick.
