I know not everyone has been to Canada, but I don't tend to moan about these temperatures due to what I've experienced over there.

Last time I went we were at a zoo and it was was -20 with a wind chill of -30. Fun fun.

Oh and snow snowmobiling in that type of weather is harsh, the condensation leaks out the helmet vents and freezes pretty damned quick. So much fun though. :)

I remember it reaching -20C here a number of years ago, it's the only year i ever remember it getting that cold. The drains on the steepest hill in the town got blocked somehow, no idea if they froze or what, and overflowed onto the street. It didn't take long for that flow of water going down hill to freeze over after that but it was a sight to behold, kinda beautiful in a way.

ive done -25 in toronto and montreal - getting up for 8:30am lectures wasnt pleasant. but at least their public transport works and is either underground or cheap enough to use daily.

the weatheer forecast on BBC tells me to expect -12 tonight in oldham though...;/

tell me about it, it was pich black and feezing come 7:30am, i stayed in bed and then tried to get to work for 10am but failed and ended up back in bed.

severe weather expected tonight, work have put on a number to call in the morning to see if the office is even being opened.

im hoping not.

Well more snow is forcasted if im right. i might just call in tomorrow. I cant be arsed anymore in this snow. Doing my **** in now. Just wana sit at home all day. LOL.!

-18 last night in Stockport and RAF Benson near Didcot, Oxfordshire. Thats pretty cold! I live in Sale so I guess it was pretty cold there too!

-13 showing here too.

I don't previously recall ever hearing of temps below around -3 or -4 here in Manchester, then again I haven't seen as much snow as I did this past week. :D

'That ain't cold.....this is a knife mate' wait....what?

Anyway it was -48c in Dakota, MN apparently this morning.

I'm sure we used to have the occasional -10 in the south a few years ago so you must have had it up there too.

Wind chill i'm guessing though. ;)

Otherwise you may want to go to the arctic for some warmth.

(oh and windchill doesn't count!)
