I'm not an expert but I remember watching a Horizon documentary about gender identity disorder - one of the things they found was that there was a correlation between the size of a gland in the brain and the gender you would instinctively recognise was yours. It seemed that if one had a large gland they would instinctively recognise they were a girl; if it was small they would feel like a boy.

Now the interesting thing was that with people who felt they were born with the wrong 'parts' (like Sam) - the size of the gland in their brain appeared to be wrong, i.e. of the opposite sex.

The implication was that it was possible that gender wasn't just down to what sexual organs you had - and that in some rare cases, some people may be born with the wrong gland. It's the idea of a woman being born with a man's bits and vice versa.

In any case, I can't comprehend why anyone would say Sam is being sick - it seems to me that some people are refusing to try to understand or just accept something that's different - and that any different would be nothing more than PC.

Excellent post mate, however I would not waste your time as many of these ignorant people have their heads so far up their own ass that they actually think they know better than the experts :rolleyes:

yes im totally ignorant cos i dont agree with what some people say :rolleyes:
at the end of the day i see it as this,sam has a penis, HE is a male.if he didnt have one like Nadia then yeah you can kinda class that as a female. you cant make us call him a she just because he wants to be called that, like i said before if i wanted to be called Chuck Norris would everyone call me that?
 
Your argument about opinions doesn't really stand up when you realise that nobody was telling you that you couldn't have an opinion whilst you were saying that Sam is "sick and wrong" to want to be a woman

Did you not hear Sam saying that she doesn't care what people call her?

I would not call you Chuck Norris but I would also not say that you are "sick and wrong" for wanting to be called that

tbh i didnt say that Sam is "sick and wrong".im just saying that i dont think of him as a she.

Actually i said that. I don’t see how either word is inappropriate. Something is clearly 'wrong' since they are one gender and want to be the other. And if wanting to slice open your genitalia, shove it up inside your own body and pretend it’s a vagina isn’t sick i don’t know what is.

I am actually a very tolerant person, but everybody has their limits.

Interestingly on the official BB website, throughout it they called sam a HE.
