we are talking about RAID arrays and data backups.
1. he just wants speed nothing else.
2. he has vital data on different drives not connected to the raid.
3. you had a large 320gb raid-0 array that went bang without having back ups.
more on topic... i have had 2x 40gb WesternDigital IDE Drives in Raid-0 for well over 2 years now. again all my vital data is kept on a 120gb drive and a 320gb drive. the raid array only contains my OS and games nothing else.
