Hello,

I desperately need your help if possible.

I re-installed Win XP Pro on one of my machines today. In total, there are 8 drives in this machine, one of which is the OS drive.

On start up, all 8 drives are recognised in the BIOS, however, on going to Disk Management when in Windows, only 7 drives are shown.

The motherboard in question is a DFI LanParty RDX 200.

Any ideas at all, would be appreciated.

Phil

P.S. I can't even get into the RAID BIOS controller. F4 isn't shown on start up, when it previously was.

The plot thickens...i had a suspicion there was something wrong with a SATA connector on the mobo, so i tested a number of 250GB drives, all encountering the same problem.

But then I tested a 160GB drive and that worked fine.

Any ideas?
