On The Wagon... then in 'ere!

How did I miss this thread? Loving the virgin cocktails. Will have to make some at some point. I get pretty bored of lime and soda!

Welcome along mate, glad to have your company :)

How we all managing so far this weekend? Already mentioned, it's been an easy one for me with being at work.

I'm done for this week, don't usually drink Sunday nights so I'm ok till next Friday.

Think if I and when I start again I might limit it to drinking only when out.

There is only one way to start the week, have a Grecian:

4 parts Peach juice
2 parts Orange juice
1 part Lemon juice
Soda water

Mix the juices with a scoop of crushed ice. Pour unstrained into the glass, add a squirt of soda water and garnish with fresh fruit.

Cheers :)

Well only had the 4 pints on Friday and going strong. First weekend over with very little drunk...quite easy actually!!

Still dry as can be. Starting to get a little wanting of a beverage though. Keep up the good work gents, we can do it!

Good luck all, not in it myself as dont consider myself an excessive drinker, well not anymore anyway. Like everything in life moderation is the key.

6 weeks dry on Thursday. Been much easier than I expected. Have 2 weeks off work starting on Thursday, during which I intend to take full advantage of my new found sobriety and really bust the gym.

Big well done to everyone who has managed to cut down, or stop altogether. How many of the people who'd only stopped for the month now plan to stay stopped?

Time to liven things up with a Hurricane:

1/2 Cup orange juice
1/2 Cup cranberry juice
2 Tablespoons grapefruit juice
2 Tablespoons apple juice
Crushed ice
Orange slice

Stir all juices and ice until thoroughly mixed. Serve in a highball glass and garnish with an orange slice on the rim of the glass.

Cheers :)

Excellent question... I myself (albeit still early in the month) have no great urge to start :) Having said that, I will be running the BOTW competition again though I reckon you couldn't get more responsible than one bottle per week? :)

Oh and cheers again Cosimo for taking the time and making the effort with the drinks.

I'm going to combine them all on the first page to make it handy for anyone searching :)

I know how easy it is to reach out for a drink when you first hit the waggoner's trail so just trying to make that journey a little easier. Cheers :)
