On The Wagon... then in 'ere!

28-6 tee hee I doubt he'll be in a hurry either :D

I don't really follow Rugby - was the score that bad?

He's not talking to me :(

Haha :p

Had a drink last night and it's pretty much ruined Sunday.

It can tend to do that unfortunately - I opted to drive while out last night at a family bash. I still haven't had a drink since before Christmas despite having *quite a few* beers sitting in my shed. Think I may pop a couple of Tyskie in the fridge for me finishing on Tue (my Fri night) and enjoy my first beer of 2014. :D

I think I need to climb on board.

I have had a heavier than usual weekend. Today, I have felt terrible. Feel terribly depressed. I know it's the alcohol as I don't suffer from depression and alcohol is a natural depressive.

No appetite either. Fighting an urge to drink again to take the feeling away, but that just leads to a vicious circle. I think I might just have a light supper, climb into bed, watch some TV and get a decent nights sleep.

If it's influencing you in that way, it's definitely worth taking steps to reduce your intake!

I suffered a bout of depression (all self inflicted by getting myself into a bad position, but that's another story!), and I actually drank to cheer myself up! It did have drawbacks in that it lowered my impulse action threshold which nearly ended badly. I've never had depression issues through drink, just the usual regret the morning afterwards. I always get the munchies as well, we must be wired up the opposite way :)

Rob, do as you say mate. Grab something to eat and have an early night. Then tomorrow look at either taking a break for a while or cutting down on your intake. Plenty of support from people in here mate, so don't ever feel you're alone in this.

How is everyone doing?

Well I'm back on the beer - had a couple of Brewdog prototype beers earlier in the week and enjoying a couple of Tyskie's tonight as I can't get out with my camera due to the weather :(

Obviously I'm no longer on the wagon but three or four beers a week on your days off cant be wrong can it?

I came to this thread not being sure what to expect... and I'm pleasantly surprised.

Good work all of you for staying dry... I know this is probably unhelpful, but as a non-drinker, I think it's all the more impressive for drinkers to give up or at least cut down.

So awesome stuff. And thanks for the cocktail ideas in the OP. :D

Well I'm back on the wagon as of last Monday. I'm going for the lent abstinence at least. Although I may have to give up for longer.

I have not had a drop of Alcohol or Nicotine, for that matter since the 5th of January.

All I can say is a giant big Thank you to Coffee and a Gaggia Classic!.
