I found D the easiest on the eye.

E is the best. Line is closest to the middle, the others just put me off entirely.

Didn't like D/E because the lines weren't at the halfway point of the rectangle.

C was best as it was at the 1/3 point of the rectangle.

I'm guessing in one of them the ratio of the sizes of the two boxes is the Golden Ratio or something and we're supposed to find that more pleasing than the others?
