*** OnePlus 2 ***

Wonder how many will stump up the cash and actually buy one? I've not checked it out but presume you aren't obligated to buy one?

Pretty much. I'm also sure a fair number of these emails are alternative emails as well, so how many real people have signed is probably lower.

If any of my alternative emails does get an invite though I'm happy to share if anyone wants it, but they're very close to the bottom of the list :p.

Does Hydrogen OS have any multi touch based gestures? My HO had some on Sense and I remember that affecting multi touch tests.

The Hydrogen OS was supposed to fix this problem. But 1+ will come out with more BS.

On the 1+ it was a bad earth and not software. Even CM team agreed.

Think im going to avoid this after the OPO even though it was a nice phone with so much potential the odd hardware problems and customer service issues is enough to put me off even more so after reading the above. The price point however for 64GB is spot on.

I'll await reviews and opinions.. If it's better than my S6 I'll jump ship but it seems highly unlikely, I just itch for the newest tech.

This isn't exactly the newest tech - the innards amd display of an S6 trump this bigtime.
For a budget phone it is very good though.

Seeing the recent Xperia Z5 leaks I'm starting to consider giving the OP2 a miss. The compact version usually is more nicely priced.

wanted to go for it, but now I see the invite system is probably a flop again, with that report on touch issues again...

makes me want to wait for Nexus 5 2015...

They have over 2 million people on the reservation list now. Why didn't they just make a million devices and sell them on their website? When it's clear the demand is high, make more devices?

It really is an awful way of selling something despite their reasons for using the invite system.

Seems pretty smart to me.

It gives them total control over demand, so they can guarantee that each unit produced is immediately sold rather than having stock build up. And secondly, it means that their customers are usually so eager to get hold of one that they'll overlook any problems that they have.

Not true though! I signed up before spec was launched so didn't know what I would be buying. Now the spec has been released I wont be buying it! I also signed up 2 email addresses so how many more people did the same or more?

Why does it? I wonder what percentage of people on the reservation list are actually going to buy one? 30-40%?

I disagree with your second point too. If I've waited months for a mobile phone I want it to be perfect in every way.

And the phone is now on sale, apparently 3-5 business days delivery for the EU. Loads of invite begging on the OP forum already.

Invite please :p.

not sure if there are acutally any invites going out yet, seems to just be the event people getting their orders in. There also don't seem to be any backplates on the site for order - just the 64gb phone.
