OnePlus 3T

If people are saying it's expensive for what it is, what is a cheaper equivalent of this phone? or is it just not worth the extra over the 3?
tbh the 3 seems decent enough to me, not sure if it's better to wait until the 3t is out - although if it comes in stock I might just buy it

maybe it was just my phone but xiaomi cant remember which one was utterly rubbish, not stable in the least regardless of rom.
one plus one which is what i switched to is far better.

thought the the 3 was being discontinued so you'll have to buy the 3t.

yeah, I had the one plus one but it met it's end with a huge screen smash and the replacement screen was done badly so ditched it and got a nextbit robin...
I think the 3 is being discontinued but I was just hoping that there might be some last stock coming...

Personally I still think its a great price. Just a shame if their prices start creeping up and up as it was nice to see such a decent phone at a reasonable price. Can't blame them though with the popularity of it. Would have been nice if those making the really expensive phones had to start reacting to products like this instead though.

Wouldn't go for another OP phone again (once bitten twice shy)
But even if I was considering it, for me this is too close to main manufacturers prices. The appeal on the original was the price.

Yea I knew that much, that reads like he thinks the 820 is better than the 821 to me, if that's true I would love to know why!

what  oh damn you mean the > symbol. Sorry, I meant the nominal spec bump from the 820 to the 821. Obviously the 821 is better (marginally), I just meant that and the extra battery ain't worth £100 notes

They aren't asking £100 more though, are they? Twice you've said that? How are you getting £100 increase?

I was very surprised to see the price hike. The first article I saw said $40 increase and I thought 'Great! I'll get a 3T and see what all this fuss is about'. Then I saw our price increase is £70!?!? What?!!?

As has been said, I can only imaging the 3 would be moved to something like £349 if they were to continue selling it, but instead they've just gone 3T at £399...

As has also been said, it is now quite different to a £309 high spec phone and I'm left wondering if I should try one or not.

It's now priced more inline with it's specs, build and performance. It was a bargain before and now it's reasonable.

Given the Pixel XL and S7E 50-100% more expensive, OP are a business not a charity.

Yeah, I can buy that, but they've almost set a position with previous phones that then makes it harder to accept as the price goes up. I guess a bit like the Nexus fans when the Pixel was announced.

Its £418 on the O2 website no online option to buy PAYG you would need to cancel any contract. You could try asking for a PAYG instore but that would add the compulsory £10 sim card taking it to £428 pretty much a £100 increase.

Okay... but that's O2? The price increase by OnePlus is £329 to £399. Hell, you might find someone on eBay selling one for £529, that doesn't mean the price increase is £200...

**EDIT** In fact, £336 is the price of the 3 from O2, so even if you use O2's own prices it's only an £82 increase, not £100.

Same here. I'll stick to my 6P with android 7.1.1 on.
