OnePlus One.

Three, 02 and Voda all run on Band 20, Three also run on band 3.

The OnePlus One supports band 3, but not band 20. I was considering the idea of getting a OnePlus One until I saw this though, half the UK 4G networks will be useless.

Yep that automatically counts me out
I would also suspect some carriers won't want to support it then
A general customer would question why there friend is getting 4G in place X but they are not
Even worse if you get it in some places and not others on same network

These are the sort of decisions that baffle me. Unless their target market isn't UK etc. Still seems an odd choice
What extra costs are there for extra band support?

There could be a Europe SKU after initial launch...

Transparency and honesty with our fans is something we strongly believe in, so let’s lay our choices on the table:

1.Continue as things are
2.Change the bands
3.Create a separate EU version

We are not pursuing choice #2 because the OnePlus One is already in production. Stopping the production would involve discarding some supplies and waiting for replacements, which means wasting resources and time. This would also mean the removal of another band, which still affects some users and ultimately doesn’t solve the problem.

We’ve decided to pursue choice #1 while hoping that enough people support this choice to help us get through and survive the initial sales period. If we are successful in the first few months, we may be able to simultaneously pursue choice #3 when we have the resources to create a new SKU that includes band 20 LTE.

Confirmed by their twitter account. Base 16GB version for £290 available in the UK

If all goes well this will be my next phone. Am going to hold off trying the M8 again, only 7 days left until the announcement.

Crazy price that - makes you think what they have scrimped on...

Tell me about it. The hype machine is well and truly rolling and no doubt we'll find out when they announce the damn thing. It's nuts that there haven't been any leaks whatsoever about how the phone looks like. Not even a dodgy camera shot...

I was really excited, everything seemed good, software is CM so check, build would hopefully be ok, camera samples looked good, internals looked good. But no 800mhz kills it for me, 4G is too good to give up.

The lack of 800mhz doesn't bother me, because correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't 3UK use the 1800mhz spectrum on 4G?

I'm on 3UK and the lack of 800mhz wouldn't be applicable to my usage so it's game on in regards to this phone.

Three has purchased 2600mhz and 800mhz in the action and got a chunk of 1800mhz from EE so it will have pretty wide spread effect. Being on Vodafone personally I think they only have 800 and 2600mhz, and 800mhz being the bigger chunk they got if IIRC.

My one worry is that if this device ends up being taller than 150mm then it's a no go for me.

I could just about manage the HTC M8 which is about my limit when it comes to dimensions in phones.

Yup, it is worrying that they boasted that it is not as wide as a Z1 but failed to mention anything about its height.
