Hey fellas,
I've got relatively small front channel speakers at the moment. Have an Epos ELS wending its way to me, and I was just wondering if it'll be possible to use the subwoofer during 'pure audio' mode for music, as the quality is decidedly better :)

Cheers for info!

i think you would have to use a high level connection. I don't bother with pure audio because to me it sounds pants. Strangely i find all channel stereo best.

Personally find Pure Audio far better, I should think its partly dependant on the speakers in question.

Are there any negatives to using the high level connection, won't impact cinema experience e.t.c? I assume I just connect it to the front channels, as well as the front speakers (rather than run the speakers through the subs amplifier?)

Cheers!

depends on the sub. Do you have seperate high/low level crossover settings?

You would run a set of speaker cables from the amp to the sub. Does the 606 have a second zone? if you can run zone two at the same time as one, you could connect the sub to that.

Yeah its got passive zone 2. But I wouldn't have thought it would output zone 2 during Pure Audio?

Yes its got seperate phase, high and low level crossover settings :)

If you find pure audio better I would suspect this is down to how the EQ is setup - i'm not sure how it works on the 606 but I would suggest running auto-setup again?
