anyway whilst browsing away i sent a couple of e-mails to a couple of girls who i thought are out my league but thought what the heck.

got a shock when one of the girls e-mailed me back tonight. Im really excited, nervous and scared. She is absoloutly stunning and sounds a right good laugh. i haven't chatted anyone up or dated anyone in 7 odd years. im trying to be as normal as i can but its so wierd.

Just chill, whats the worst that can happen - its a total sham night and you are no worse than you are now. No bother :)
 
If you decide to contact each other when you get to the meeting place, phone don't text. This happened with me, she text me when she got to the hotel bar and I never got the text then I thought she wasn't going to turn up so I nipped out to the car for something. She thought I wasn't going to show up so she decided to leave and as I walked back thru the door I knocked her flying! still gave us something to laugh about.
 
Online dating does work. The main thing is that you have NO barriers when you first approach someone. In a club or pub, the first thing you notice is the looks, and how people look at you. Online yo usee their picturee and you seem them in a captured state, in a somewhat fragile state and you think to your self "why not... what have i got to lose?"

well she got back to me at lunch time, saying she'd love to meet up tomorrow night so its all on. now im really scared, don't know why i just find this soo scary. and its makin me so god damn nervous.
 
Good luck mate, had a date last sat night. My advice go for a drink so you can chat, go to the pics, then go for another drink. Some people will disagree but it saves those arkward silences lol.

Go the pictures on a first date? Not a chance, you're there to try and talk to get to know each other, you can't really do that when you're watching a film.

Met my missus on a dating website. Its a cool way to meet people - by the time you actually get around to meeting up, you've exchanged a few emails, know a bit about each other and therefore should have stuff to talk about. I'm not the most outgoing person, but the first time the other half and I met in person, it was all really relaxed.

Actually, that's how I remember it. All she remembers is me staring at her chest all night. :D

Mattius - you'll be fine mate. Keep the conversation on her - let her do all the talking.
 
looks like im in for a restless night, and day tomorrow. No response from her and im really crapping it.
im sure i'll be fine when i get there and meet her, just a bit of a self confidence problem at the moment. i think she is stunning and don't think too much of myself.

Ive met 3 and saw them for a while, but iam never happy with them get bored, plus my mates would have a field day if they new i met someone from a date site. Online datng is easy and the quickest way to get a shag going clubbing etc.. is such an effort to chat women up.

One thing that i noticed when i met those 3 about 30 mins after meeting they get there friends to call lol make a joke like was that your friend calling you if your ok or need help lol, they laff and explain, once they explain that the call was incase she didnt like you, your all good cuz they like you, then you can move on to your next plan taking them to your pad :d, this works on a time thing if they are there for 2 hours chatting and its almost closing time then they are up for it :D Oh yer talk about her.

You're alright except for the last one. Everything she utters should be answered immediately with a high-decibel HAH HAH HAH HAH-urrrrr
 
i did a couple of months online dateing, went on some really good and some pretty damn bad dates. Its quiet funny to see how chilled you get about it all in the end! don't expect too much, do it to meet new people and have a good time.
oh and if your on a dateing website you pretty much have to have "likes evenings in with a bottle of wine and a dvd" in your profile somewhere - its the rules apparently :D
