BF2 before it was ruined by crap patches, teamkilling idiots online and too many addons.

GT Legends before it got ruined by idiots ramming people off all race. Made so many good friends on that game.

UT2004, before it was practically deserted. Once again so many old friends I haven't seen for ages, hope they all get UT3.

Delta force land warrior. I went to the trouble of getting on some hacked servers in 2004 and it was awsume. Went back again in 2005 and everyone was still there. 2005 they were mostly gone :(

UT2004. Theres a fair amount playing it but not enough to have kept the mod community going.

UT tac ops... classic.

Defcon as well, if that game had a larger community of people who didnt slow down games or leave half way through it could be legendary.

And a very little known 2d sprite based RTS called Arsenal: taste the power
I think there are about 20 active people who play online. The subscription based system both killed it and saved it.

Yeh, half the reason why I've stopped releasing maps. Just a lack of interest in comparison to what it used to be like.
Can't wait for UT3, will get straight back into mapping :D

A little known mmorpg called The Myth of Soma. At peak it only had around ~500 regular players and now it's all but dead and buried.

Some excellent memories though.

I played that! It had its addictive monotonous grind qualities like any other MMO, I'm surprised they still keep it running... They? I mean that one guy in London called Slither on the forums.

renegade...

I love that game and would still be playing if various gaming sites didn't collapse and reinvent themselves then collapse.

I want another game like that.

Renegage certainly has not collapsed. The Community is still very much alive and kicking. Granted its no where near as "Busy" as it was but its still out there..

I think the ones I wish "came back" most are prolly:

Planetarion - Browser based game, I'm sure a few people will know it, I think that I was playing around rounds 6/7/8 when it was still pretty popular. I've never bothered to try to get into another browser based game.

Quake 3 Fortress - It made a brief comeback with Enemy Territory Fortress, I've not checked in on ETF recently but I'm under the impression that it burnt brightly and quickly.

Unreal Tournament 2004 - Hoping that UT3 will have more of a hold on people.

<- JM|r00t season one bw winners :D Q3F ;)

MOH:Allied Assault, was amazing in 2004/2005 but killed by DMW the Anti-Cheat and basically cheats, theirs still a fair amount of clans/players and second most played game on Clanbase but its nothing how it used to be.

Legend of Mir: The 3 Heroes

Any one else played? It was my first mmorpg from 2001-2004, completely messed up my school work and GCSE's but thats life :s
