Cos they were crap and no-one else had them maybe? :D

Except my mate Nick, who compared to Neil (Speccy owner) and me (C64 owner) never really got the computer thing like we did.

Wasn't crap :(

I've still got my C64 with about 400 games, still works as fine as it ever did :)
Used to spend hours playing Football Manager on it and Flimbo's Quest. Used to program in BASIC on it a fair bit too......I was more of a geek when I was a young child than I am now

 Get off these forums and back to Mummy, your nose needs wiping! Young people these days, need a good thrashing :p ;)

I remember finding something that changed the "boot screen" of the bbc, we snuck into the "Computer lab" before the lesson and changed it to "This computer is in need of servicing by a registered Acorn Technician, please do not use"

We did Computer studies theory that day.

:D

Lenslok.... that rang a bell so I did a quick search......

I hated those things, the amount of times it didn't work even when you had the lenslok!! Totally useless security device  All the memories of frustration have come flooding back :)

I think they put Lenslok on Starglider if i remember rightly. Was a great system if your telly was exactly the right size. But if you had anything bigger that a 14" portable nothing would line up and it was carp :(
