Just look upon it as being a new opportunity, get a job with a company that isn't run by morons.

Absolute tosh. So much as placing my hand on your shoulder is assault. Jabbing someone is definitely assault. Unwanted Physical contact is assault.A jab in jest != assault and we all know he was fired because they didn't want to make a redundancy, the judges in courts aren't complete idiots (usually).
What exactly do I do when I apply for a job and they ask why I left my previous job?!
Yea, I'll never even touch another human being in a place of work again.

The other guy also got the sack.
Yes I will be at least appealing it.
I can see it now;Just don't mention the sandwich.

Good luck finding a job in the current economic climate!
Why? I started a new job at the beginning of the month for more money than I was getting at my old job and with better hours. The work is out there, you've just got to go looking for it.

Good question, I liked the job and we were a close knit team, we all got along really well and everyone on my team are already down about what's happened to the both of us.Signing on at the job centre may be an issue, they send a letter to your previous employer to find out why you were let go. I hope that doesn't have any impact on any payments you may be entitled too.
All the best looking for a new job and with the appeal. Would you want to go back if it got over turned?
If you say that you did this job and were fired, the DWP will ask your employer for a reference. If they then hear that you were dismissed for physical violence, you're not doing yourself any favours...
Not much of a statement to go on is it?

It just seems to me such a minor thing to be fired over. The worst part is that I was actually good at my job.

Dont lie to the job centre obviously lol, nothing wrong with a bit of creative thinking when applying for actual jobs tho![]()
