Hey all,

My problem is I have a pdf document I need access to, unfortunately the laptop I have does not have a pdf reader installed. This is what I have:

1 laptop, no internet connection, usb enabled, unable to install programs - the pdf can only run on this laptop.

1 laptop with access to internet and usb enabled.

Any ideas how I can open the pdf on the first laptop?

it doesn't need installing. it runs directly from the USB stick.

if there are restrictions blocking all unknown .exes, that's another issue.

"the pdf can only run on this laptop"

pretty sure this isn't a feature of a pdf, can you tell us more about the restriction?

I'm thinking along the lines of opening the pdf in notepad and removing the security

Open it in a web browser?

not likely to work. until recently, most browsers would have used plugins provided by adobe when you install their reader.

i'm guessing new browsers with native PDF support aren't going to be installed on this laptop.

either convince IT to put a pdf reader on for you or find some sort of document converter. i have no idea about that.
