Another train thread sorry. Just wanted to hear your unbias opinions.

I'm sitting down in a near empty carriage and a woman and a man who don't know each other walk through the door from another carriage. The woman sits down four seats in front of me and opens the window. This is at 7am in Dec so it's cold out. I get up and close the window she turns around and said she doesn't care. Which I knew from the fact that she just opened the window without consideration. Then I get annoyed and close it again this goes on two more times and when I ask her why she wants the window in the middle of winter she says she just ran for the train and is hot. What do you think should she close the window?

Oh look another Groen train adventure.

It's like a 2015 Railway Children on some hip tv channel like BBC3.

Should have had a stiff upper lip groen and ignored the cold draught blowing through the carriage with disdain - by expending effort to close the window you have shown weakness in front of the enemy, in this case the woman!

Why didn't you move somewhere else if the carriage was "near empty"? 1 window open isn't going to suddenly make the whole carriage -3c

It really isn't that cold yet.

Now when the carriage is full I believe at least 1 window should be open, lets a bit of fresh air in when 100 odd people are all coughing.

Tbh, it annoys me when people do that on the bus on a cold day.
It's just dumb because they open the window right above them and the only people who get the breeze are the ones sitting further back.

Still, lolgroen anyway :p

It wasn't a massive incident

How can you downplay the incident so much? It was worse than terrorism, your basic human rights were laid bare, exposed to these evil doers. Too hot on a train in Britain! You're a far better man than I would have been. The sheer courage, audacity even, go simply stand up and close the window because you might have become slightly chilly. Sir, I applaud you! Your patriotism to Britain will not go un noticed, and I for one will contact the queen to ensure you're mentioned in the new years honours list for services to British transport!
