Opera much like IE (yet in IE i have to use a password saver addon to get it to work) Never lets me & quite a lot of other people save passwords. It does on a few sites, such as this one, but for the majorety its useless for me.

I'm pleased to see it's not just me imagining the better rendering quality of FF.

It could ,as you say, be partly due to the quality or my gfx card and monitor.

I presume most people using this forum are more interested in 3d speed rather than 2d display quality where as I am not a gamer and 2d performance is what I go for.

For those interested, I am using a Dell 2407WFP with a Sapphire Radeon 9600 128MB.
 
ATI did have better 2d IQ than nvidias previous cards and only in the 8800 series of nvidia card has this IQ in 2d met on even sides!

I'm on a 8800GTS and 2007WFP btw.


However I am now using Opera as a 3rd browser, I use IE7, FF2 and Opera now, I have IEview and Opera view extensions in firefox so it makes it easy to determine browser issues with some sites which does tend to happen :)

I have Opera set up as close to firefox as possible now sans extensions capability of course ;), the key thing was my bookmarks layout which I am happy to confirm Opera has kept in correct order!
 
Just wondering if someone could provide me with some information about tweaking Opera, addons and skins if possible.

Would love to give this browser a shot.

Using it right now, gah really shows just how slow and crappy firefox is, i just love how all the pages are nice and smooth, and it doesnt have the weird freezing that firefox 2.0 has!

I've been using Opera for years & I've never had a problem with the wand remembering passwords :confused:
Anyway, downloaded 9.2 earlier so I'll be having a play.
 
Oooh I love the speed dial feature, and lord this is fast.

Is there any tweak to stop when I middle click the mouse centering? it bugs me.
 
heard a lot of good things about this browser, using IE7 at the minute but going to try this out :D


Is there any way to import IE7 favorites to Opera?

yep,
it will seamlessly import bookmarks from Ie, firefox, konqueror and many other programs.

Youll never look back!
