I can see why you have done it, but it still means that everyone, in one way or another, is missing out on the other 4 bonus missions.

When I buy half a dozen eggs, I expect 6, not 5 and an empty space where I have the choice to upgrade to 6 eggs in the future.

the codes will be on the internet within minutes of release, as they will probably be common codes so we can share them
 
Do you think this will run well with my rig which houses a AMD Phenom X550 BE, Geforce 8800GT 512MB and 4 Gig of ram?

Or, be better off getting it for my PS3:D

From everything i've heard it runs great on low-mid range stuff. Even quite a weedy laptop had it great according to an old preview. Your rig will run it butter smooth mate. Just go for which ever has the most friends.

I've been lurking on the official forums for a while but I cant be bothered to sign up. A lot of your usernames are thus very familiar to me!

With the spec in my sig I will be getting this on PC. It seems the i7's should be perfect when matched with a nice graphics card. It should run pretty well. I can see this taking up most of my Autumn while ArmA 2 decays on the shelf. Can't wait to get enjoying the scenery and exploring the map for some nice locations to make some missions.

I will post all my OFP2 DR info and comments on here, not the PC games one as it doesn't ever pick up any speed over there for some reason. There is a distinct lack of hype around here on this potentially GOTY.

Here's the list of ammo.

10 different ammo types.

Lets start here.

Armor Piercing
Armor Piercing, Discarding Sabot (ill check and see what that means)

Right, time to think of massively inappropriate ways of using AP ammo then. My thoughts mainly revolve around close quarters and full auto :D

Also glad I've got a week solid to cain fifa before this comes out. Otherwise ump sure it would be a bit of a dilema!
 
I few people asking "why no ads on xbox live?"

I'm sorry I can't give dates as a lot of it is dependant on Microsoft and how quick they get stuff up. Needless to say we've submitted a LOT of content to them, plus some stuff you might not be expecting.

Those ammo types are for tanks and main cannons. FMJ, JHP, are probably the two main types for small arms. I am a fetishist when it comes to the mil sim and I am very impressed by these ammo types. Arma2 really failed on this front. The real test will be in seeing them actually make a difference when used.

Well, been reading up a lot on this. I was annoyed at the news the editor for PC supports only 64 units. However, Helios (CM forum manager) openly suggested that the community will blatantly open this up and it will just be a case of the more powerful the rig the more units you can deploy ;)
 
MULTIPLAYER!! Here we go...

You can: Browse available servers for games, you can look for certain maps, game types etc. You can view your stats as well. Or you can create your own game with your own specifications.

There IS A LOBBY! Like CoD you will wait until the match begins.

Its 0.01% per bullet...this replicates real life gun care.

So in the game you will press the reload button to resolve this. The guide does say that it will be a VERY rare occassion. 9% at a thousand rounds fired. The down side is that you have to purge a clip from your gun and load a fresh one. So you lose whatever was left in that clip. Again with the realism CM...amazed for the 100th time.

Are there any reviews up for this yet?

It's out in a week right, and I was thinking of pre-ordering it as I enjoyed the originals. Be nice to know whether it's good or not though.
 
If you pre-order from designated retailers you get a bonus mission depending on who you buy it from, so watch out for that wehen pre ordering.

Yes, that did indeed look very cool :)

It's such a pity I suck as a sniper :(

Though, perhaps this is the perfect game to finally learn to snipe well on :D
