Orange Wednesday codes

Do you know if the free ones you sometimes come across come with any credit? Dont really wanna spend a tenner on something that I will probably use a couple of times a year.

It come's up 241 for the person it comes from so if its been sent from someone else just change they name to 241, and the minium you can top up on orange is £5.

Yup I do that and hand over my phone that has vodafone logos to the person behind the counter.

I combo the orange code with my cineworld unlimited card so get 2 "free" tickets :p

Orange SIM cards are available from Poundland which could be a good idea if you want cheap cinema tickets but don't have any phones on Orange.

I have an iPhone and iam currently on O2 which isnt much help really :(

If your on contract you can get it unlocked for Free by O2, it's just a case of filling in a form on their website.

There's an app for that I'm sure :)

You need to be on Orange to use it or an Orange Broadband customer.

The secret is to change your mate's name to "Orange" on your phone. That way when you show the cinema cashier the text that they forwarded you, it doesn't say their name at the top.

Sorry to burst your bubble James Bond but they don't care, as long as the code goes through when they type it in they couldn't care less

Unfortunately your experiences are not equal or representitive of everybody elses.

At my local odeon, they ask to see the codes in the text message, and throw a hissy fit if it's not from 241.

But nice work.

Just used a code sent from my sister to go tonight and all they asked for was the code, it might have had something to do with the stupidly long line and everyone and their aunt wanting to watch Avatar in 3D.

Did they let you use it for Avatar in 3D? The Odeon at Port Solent down here in Portsmouth won't let you use it for 3D film despite not have a sign anywhere that says that.

I recon this should become an Official thread for people who are on Orange who are not usng their codes can share them with people who do not get the benfit of Orange Wednesdays due to not being on their Network. However if it costs money to get the codes then if I was on Orange and saw this thread I would tell you all to do one...

I used one tonight that a friend sent me. The guy didn't even ask to see the message, he wanted it read out to him.

Good job on representing "everyone else"! But nice work.
