Ordered game and just as I finished transaction, gateway timeout, money taken but not got my purchas

haha lucky i am! i not to fussed about waiting for BF3 still gotta build my 2500k rig yet and get everything installed! my ******* asrock mobo aint turned up yet! but after thursday i got 10 days off work so woohooo!

any luck with ur money dropping back into ur account yet nexus?

No not yet, the girl from the bank said they need to email the bank first with certain details and then the unavailable amount will be dropped back in.

So going to post in my request ticket thread again in a few minutes.
 
That is what I have been reading in BF 3 thread and then that stats are getting reset globally on Friday.

Also I can log onto BL and search for servers etc. and I haven't even done that VPN thing, so not sure if that means that I can play the game as well, going to find out in a few mins.

Yeah, from what I have read it should be fine but there have been a few posts saying that if they see anything dodgy like that, it may get banned iirc.

Just an update, got fed up with waiting for them to send the simple 5 minute email to northern bank (impatient I know :p) so I posted it on their forums (again) to try and get some attention and it worked, few mins later got a response saying:

We've contacted your bank. It's up to them. You need to contact them yourself and request a release of the funds they are holding... Usually any authorisations would drop off your statement within 5 or 7 business days. If the funds haven't appeared back in your account withn a week, I'd suggest you get back in touch wiith your bank and request that they file a chargeback on the first authorisation ( not the second successful one, obviously)

So going to give it 2 days and if nothing happens, I will ring the bank to check up.

I honestly think that I would still be waiting for someone to reply to my request if I hadn't posted the issue in public forums :rolleyes:

Such slow poor service from them.

I have used the VPN. It is only for the date check, then you remove it and play as normal :)

Yup, I just used the proxy method posted by Raven a few hours ago, don't see why I should have to wait till Friday whilst everyone else gets to play, have fun and get a head start with all the goodies unlocked without any punishment :p

And very glad I did! :D

Well the guy tbf was taking forever to respond, one response a day, and it would have only taken him a few minutes to sort my issue out and move onto the next guy and when it comes to that stuff, I worry, get annoyed and then impatient :p
 
I had this issue when ordering from ocuk once. The funds went from my account but didn't go to ocuk - something to do with my bank authorising the payment. Took about 5 days for the cash to go back to my bank.
 
I think you are panicking for no reason here. As we've said before, it's a pre-auth. A pre auth will always deduct from your available balance, from there it will either

A) Transaction will complete and you see it as a debit line item on your statement (not here)
B) Drop off after 5-7 working days and transaction will never complete (this)
C) Drop off after 5-7 working days, but transaction completes later (can happen for example on out of stock items or a pre order) (not here)

It will drop off naturally...:)
 
Well I wasn't as worried after reading through all these comments, however I just checked my account there and that 32.57 has now been taken from the overall balance as well.

So I presume that the money has gone to GMG and I already order the game again from them, so I have contacted them asking if they have got it and if so could they refund it since I already purchased the game again from them. I will have to contact the bank shortly as well now.
 
Ok guy at GMG asked for the last 4 numbers of my card and it did go to them so I am being refunded for the first unsuccessful order and should get the money back in to my account within a few days time hopefully.

You the support person you were talking to likely had hundreds of issues to deal with? And that they all need resolved? And that by working in the manner they do, they actually resolve more per day than your "suggestion"? I think you need to grow up a little.
