***Ori and the Blind Forest***

Just past the first escape sequence. The pressure of having to move and react quickly was exciting and the music and visual effects were great. Also reminded me a little of this level from Rayman Legends.
I didn't find it unfair at all really, and it's been one of the highlights of the game for me so far - I look forward to the more challenging escape sequences (hope I don't regret saying that).

The game continues to be beautiful too...

Awesome stuff, I was previously working on a project with the guy who did the sound for this (Gareth Coker), and he was very talented.
I can actually 'hear' some of the music he did for our project in the music I've heard for this, his signature sound if you will.

Glad he's 'made' it. He deserves it.

Is this the Demon Souls of the cute platform world?? :) Lost count of the amount of times I have died

Its frustrating, but usually it from failing to remember to jump or something really small, some real awkward "timing" vaults though!

Absolutely loving this so far.

I have a quick question though, there's a few areas I can't get to at the moment due to not having the abilties to do it. I know that when you finish the game you can't go back to old areas, but up until the point of finishing the game, are you free to roam everywhere? I'm worried that there'll be a point halfway through the game that means I can't go back to get all the pickups.

Also, the leaderboard is ridiculous. How someone can complete this game without dying is beyond me, but to do it in under 3 hours is insane!

Yup. If you look on xboxachievements.com there's a couple of videos and guides to all the collectables and secrets that you can miss.

I was enjoying this game but last night I was exploring and getting all the power-ups and I got back into the Forlorn Ruins and now I can't get back out. A quick Google search says it's a glitch and I'm stuck and my only option is to restart

That sucks. There are a few progress blocking issues in the game, including a really odd one were Ori becomes unable to get out of water forcing you to start over.

I was fortunate enough to not encounter any blocking issues but it's definitely worth making regular copies of your save file, which you can do via the File Select menu in-game.

Escaping the Ginso Tree. Motherfu- I nearly smashed my controller.

I finally managed to do it AND got all of the pickups on the way too.

Loving the game in general!

When escaping? I got four ability cells (the orange ones I think) but I didn't see anything else or any secret areas. Or do you mean before you have to escape the water? If before, yeah I'm pretty sure I got everything else before leaving.

Yeah before you escape, I'll also warn you that misty woods and forlon ruins have missables too. Quite a few actually but there's a few guides on youtube for them (possiby done by me).

I'm convinced the Ginso tree is impossible

Edit: wait...I was being a noob and spent the last 30 minutes missig a bouncing flower/thingy!!

Finished this game yesterday. About 500 deaths and about 11 hours played. I saw on here that once you go into the final round you cant go back, so went back around to pick up all the power ups for a good few hours.

Loved every second of it. Frustrating at times but if it was easy it would be a lot worse for it. Absolutely beautiful scenery and music.

Not sure how to do the spoiler tags....but

The light/energy emitting from the tree in the cut scene is a bit dark isn’t it? Killing the birds? What is it, highly radioactive or something??
