As the title says, after years of using my account via email, i've logged on today and everything including my Battlelog account has simply been reset.

I had to create a new account, it accepted my email address and said its not been used, along with my used name. EA support are absolutely no help what so ever . Guy said he's escalating to the phone support and had no call back!

Absolutely gutted... Have no idea what to do, cant find any of my old codes or where i bought my games from!

Any advice?

Actually just checked greenman gaming and it says the following:

Battlefield 4 Pre-purchase Download No keys available for this game.
SimCity Limited Edition Download No keys available for this game.
Battlefield 3: Limited Edition Download No keys available for this game.

Same boat as this guy, will have to try and contact their retarded help desk tomorrow

Is it possible someone accessed your account, changed email, username and password?

Not sure on the exact protection origin uses and what can and cannot be changed.

Sounds like your account got hijacked, I hope they manage to restore it for you. It seems the account support team can get duped by clever social engineering tricks into handing over accounts. Having e-mail authentication enable can help (as long as your email doesn't get breached as well).

I'm not a fan of the new fad for phone authentication as well though. What if I lose my phone?

I don't know about Origin, but Steam provides you with a code that can be used to regain access to your account in that scenario. They make a point of telling you to note it down somewhere and keep it safe, as it's the only way to get your account back if you lose your phone.

A lot of services (google/dropbox off the top of my head) offer OTP (one-time passcodes) which you'd keep safe somewhere in the event of losing your phone.

Happened to me here. Ring EA support and give then the receipt/order number of your most recent purchase. That's what I did and the guy for EA support managed to get it back to me within 5 minutes. I enabled 2 step authentication and all was well. Wasn't at all surprised that some poor piece of **** from Russia got my account though.

Also had this happen. Someone from Ukraine stole my Origin Account, changed the email and password and secret question as well as changing language to Russian. Luckily EA sent a change of email message to my real email thus alerting me that something was going on.
I did get it back with the help of EA chat and subsequently enabled 2 step auth to my mobile. I can confirm EA also issue one time passcodes for use should you lose your mobile :)

Did realise yours was hacked?? You kept that quiet haha :D

Thus completing the anti-security circle jerk by having something written down.

They all seem to have there problems I once had my ubisoft account hacked even thou I hadn't used it for 8 months and the password was random letters and numbers luckly I had it linked to my old xbox so was easy to get back in.

As for origin my email account stopped working a few months ago so I needed to change the details without email which is were those codes come in handy.

Right I'm back in my account, the little Russian ***** tried to get back in as I've since had a text with an EA confirmation code.

However, I've lost all my games and they've left me BF3... The sods!

Also I've noticed my Battlelog account has lost all my activity... Quite gutted about that tbh! The EA security team said all my games were there and when I kept saying they weren't ... she "faked" the connection line problem!

How can games go missing from an account? It's not like the fraudster can remove them can they?

Anyway at least you didn't find the only game left was Hardlines or Battlefront ;)
