Origin Game Time

im guessing its a 48hr period of "owning" the game, a bit like the free weekend steam do

A little better, in fact, in my opinion considering the clock doesn't start ticking until after you have the game fully downloaded and running. With something like TitanFall on a Steam free weekend you'd lose one of the days just to downloading the bloody thing!

I'm reading from this that it will hopefully expand to numerous games, and you can buy time to play any game on origin... Kind of digital renting in effect? This is a really interesting idea as long as it is a reasonable cost to put time on thr meter.

People in the comments of that article are morons. Moaning that it would take 2 days to download it... so? That's your fault, and also, the 48 hour trial doesn't start until you've entered the game...

A lot of people have disappeared from Titanfall I've heard? Not that it's not a good game but just doesn't have that sticking factor like CoD or Battlefield

the only fault titanfall has is its not proper dedicated servers.

its better than current cods, the reg is better than any bf. just the lobby system is its letdown.

Excellent move by EA/Origin tbh. Hope to see more of this feature in future. Doubt I'll bother with TF though but I will keep an eye on the gametime feature.

Nice to see Origin are upping their game. Though I don't even bother installing the free weekends steam has to offer because to me it's just wasted storage and bandwidth. Good marketing strat though.

Hmm, I wonder what time this will go live? I quite fancy a weekend of Titanfall seeing as I've nothing else on for once. :)

Hahaha, not enough free drive space. I've seen videos of Titanfall, what the hell justifies 50GB?

Well that was 50GB of bandwidth wasted.

Game launches, I get the EA and Respawn logos and then just a black screen. If I move the mouse the pointer goes into slow mo and I have CTL ALT DEL and log off Wiindows to
close the game.

Drivers and Windows is all up to date and I exceed to recommend PC specs.

Good idea from EA and it's to be commended, but if I can't play then there's not much point.
