on another note: finally been getting my mits into sp properly after putting it off for so long....its so good! love the protoss missions and how they even added nova into the game.

I loved the SP, can't wait for heart of the swarm.
 
HuK made a mothership in the losers bracket semi finals. Much to the delight of the crowd, but really it was a last ditch effort imo. Idra steamrolled Select in the grand final. Which was kinda expected as Terran has no real harass potential against Zerg at the highest level. Select was even saying there are no good NA zerg to practice against. Then again Select had to play so many games today against quality opposition so he's a hero player despite losing.
 
Argh. I hate the fact I seem to fail so hard against the same things even though I know I should be able to beat them. I almost always fail miserably at countering mutalisks even when I see them coming a mile away and I'm even worse at countering seige tanks.

I suppose it doesn't help I play random.
 
Anyone else find it impossible to beat Zerg as Terran?Reaper openings won't work,hellion harass is not as effective after the latest patch with the increased range on the roaches.

Tried banshees as well,no luck,any kind of harass always fails and in the end I'm getting outmacroed.

I used to go with Thors Hellions Marines,had some success but it's not working anymore :(
 
Reaper openings have virtually been nullified by the latest patch. Zerg however I find relatively easy to beat at Silver level, I usually open with a Hellion/Marine harrass, then follow up with MM and a couple of siege tanks.

Has probably already been asked, but do we have an eta for HotS?

If they roach then go for marauders/hellion, throw in a couple of marines for good measure.

Pre-roach buff Hellion harassment was nigh impossible to deal with, even with good micro. Practically forces Zerg to always roach early game, so hellion harass as much as you can (don't lose them) and transition into a nice bunch of marauders before he gets his mutas out.
 
Anyone fancy some games later? I'm trying to help my friend improve, he's only just started and SC2 is his first RTS. I think it'd help him a lot to watch some decent terrans play. I think he'll be on in 3-4 hours.

I'm by no means a terran player, but i'd love to watch/play some demo matches :) Should be online all evening once i get back into london.
 
How can i tell an SCV to get into a bunker that is damaged? If i right click is repairs, if it click "m" and then the bunker he just sits next to it

ill be online in a couple hours, can play Terran to an extent I suppose.
Nursey and Milky are the resident Terran pros IIRC!
