**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

The only RTS games I've played are Age of Empires when I was about 10. It's safe to say I'm the worst RTS player here. :p

Although watching orb's stream is helping me learn Protoss a lot.

You can spectate in games, I think the host has to set up a spectators team
I believe there is a way to give movement control to a team mate but you are not able to do much else with the units (not figured out how yet)
If you are both zerg then yes you can get your queen to spit on your team mates hatchery IIRC.

Go to the alliances menu it'll have a check box marked 'control' next to their name. That's the one you'll want to click :)

Also I dont know about queens interacting with their hatchery, but I know you can't spend their resources. So you can't construct stuff in their base. You can, however, control their units and make them move/attack/whatever :p

This I was in a game with scott, been on for at least one quick game every night this week. (usually lasts about 20 mins) Its the most gaming I have done in years.

How about with 2 Zerg players - Is it possible to build things on a teammates creep?
 
Just got a Beta invite, currently installing the client.

Looking forward to giving it a go. Is it 100% online, or is there a Skirmish option to practice on?

Can you do 1 vs AI? I'm quite good with protoss but really do need to learn how to properly use warp gates, warp prisms, stalker blink and all that. A few games ago an opposition warped a block of about 50 stalkers straight into the back of my base. Not good

I tried turning a gateway into a warp gate and it could no longer make units, just changed to 3 egg timers!?
