That is true. However, what he does is suggest a general playstyle to combat with early rushes. Sorting out the details is up to you, but his principles I absolutely agree with.

Also, I suspect you haven't watched it given that you haven't questioned any of his ideas. Please do, then post up your replay :).

i cant watch it im at work...but from the comments it seems hes missed a variety of issues.

Thanks for that, I didn't know that was possible. But even then, I doubt they would keep letting me swap my account as and when I want XD

That that also begs the question that if they can swap it over as simple as that... why is it needed? >_>

Because blizzard want $$$$.

Anyways the reset is due at 11am tomorrow. :D yey, hopefully will get put into masters!

Also from what I was reading above, its not the strats that is the problem, it more than your not scouting correctly and getting caught off guard by it.

Scout

????

Profit!

dude i DO scout, im not a bloody retard.
scout - see a rax going down from each team mate, standard stuff, dont see a gas expect a second rax possibly. so we build 2 rax to counter all apart from the fact that since i scouted and they didnt they have more minerals then either of us AND can produce units quicker.

nothing anbou getting caught off gaurd about it once you have seen it a hundred times in 2v2s - and comments like that are just completly missing the facts and somehow assuming that its mega easy to defend.

I've got back into this after a couple of months off.

Enjoying it again, just hope my lack of play doesn't shift me down to Bronze after the reset! Although, thinking about it, bronze would be quite fun again.

If anyone fancies a team 2v2 later let me know.

Up for both. I don't normally play 1v1 anyway. I was gold rank 8 in 3v3 random in season 1, and after my placement got put into platnium rank 60, 2 more games has seen me put at rank 4 in the league.

Surely the defenders advantage far outweighs this though... It only takes a few seconds to get the minerals lost on the SCV not mining back but it takes far far longer to get your marines across the map to attack - hence, you should still be able to get more marines if your build is designed to get marines out fast.

I sympathise with you. In 2v2, if you play as Terran and your team-mate is up for it, I find a 4 rax 6 min marine push is almost unstoppable. If the other side have done anything other than pump units, it's game over.

On the other hand, if you start to tech/strat, it will happen to you. It's rush or be rushed 99% of the time in 2v2.

I went from Bronze to Platinum doing the above. Very boring.

On scouting, unless your up against Zerg, I find an early scout is useless. Tells you nothing IMO. It's getting a scout at about 4.30/5 mins thats most valuable IMO.

seriously? How many gas, if they have chronoboost saved up, what they are using chronoboost on, if they are going forge first, 2gate, standard play, 2rax, tech lab building, see if next unit is a sentry or stalker, what there second building is etc....

You can tell a lot with a scout in the first minutes.

A scout can be pain for a terran if you attack his scv building rax/depot, another reason to send early.

Oh, I agree with you, but at that stage of the game it's still possible to change strat relatively easily if you know it's been scouted.

At 4 mins +, it's not that easy to change strat so you have a firmer idea of what's coming and how you can react to it.

Personally, thats why I feel it's not the end of the world if you don't scout their base within say 2 mins. I find the early minerals more beneficial and don't have the skill to macro and fully micro the scout as a pretty average player.

I should add I'm only lame enough to play Terran, but I think thats where the OP on this came from.

Guys get in the OCUK channel and have it auto join, need to get the numbers up and it makes it easier to play together.

im not happy with this new season - its completed ****ed up my leagues :(
**** you blizzard!

i strongly suggest peps dont play today , there seems to be a serious amount of newbies online.
