I also find win/loss streaks from day-to-day, I guess that MMR doesn't update instantly.
The best channels are

Teamliquid2
Mixed fruit
special tactics (for protoss)
Cheese isn't exactly rare, yet i always seem to fail against it.Finding it hard to stablise at the moment, I'll have streaks like 6W then 6L, maybe it's just the fact MMR is so varied in gold league, as it's the most populated league. I also suffer from a gambling type of mentality; basically I'll keep playing until I win, then have a break as if I've now got something to lose, silly really.
Is there anywhere else you guys communicate to practice etc? I rarely see anyone in the OcUK channel.
I used to play a lot of this, although it's becoming hard to fit it in now. Still stuck in the same league for nearly a year (platinum) and I seem to lose 90% of the games I'm cheesed/all inedCheese isn't exactly rare, yet i always seem to fail against it.
So... What is the best way to prevent losing against a fast Nydus when FFEing?

How much memory are people using?
With 4GB sometimes the game will minimize and Windows tell me that I'm running out and it wants to close Starcraft. That's with nothing except maybe Mumble, Steam, Comodo firewall and Microsoft anti-virus running.
It's not all the time, just once in a while, so I will close Steam and everything I can.
Sometimes I might have left Chrome open, and it will tell me soon into the game, but I would have thought 4GB is enough for Starcraft and a tab or two in Chrome to be open.

Go to start>right click computer>properties>advanced system settings>advanced>settings>advanced and check how much virtual memory you are using. If you have no paging file set that will be the problem.
