Scotty is a good player and has a pretty damn good attitude to it all! we're in the same brackets in the tournament as well, so maybe i'll get to see him in the semis :)

Any good Terran players? i need to spa some late night tonight, i realised how appauling my ZvT is...

That's not going to work out too well for you since dApollo is in that 4th bracket also and he's a pretty strong terran. :) Mind you, you'd have to beat Hayley first who is a strong platinum zerg so you've got your work cut out for you!

yepyep :) would have been pointless being against lesser skilled players! at least there will be some decent games, i don't intend to be a pushover!
my ZvZ is fine, ZvP is fine, but ZvT is a bit hit and miss!

really looking forward to it :)
 
Fast Expand

It basically means create a new Command Center/Nexus/Hatchery early in the game at a new mineral line (usually before having anything to protect the expansion)

With Zerg its fairly standard to Fast Expand on most Medium to large maps as All Zerg units come out of the Hatchery, so they need more Hatcheries to keep up with unit production. Terran usually are the slowest to expand, as they tend to build a barricade (wall in) to prevent early attacks, but they will build the Command Center (CC) inside their original base and float it down to their Natural expansion (the expansion at the main exit to their staring base). With Protoss somewhere in between depending on maps and tactics (Protoss can also Wall in but it requires either leaving a small gap to be plugged by a unit, or they need do destroy one of the buildings used to make the wall)

I guess we need a glossary :D

Will you be on playing this evening by any chance? I've not played anyone of a very high level as yet so I was hoping to see what kind of ownage I've let myself in for. :)

A terran question as I never play them. If its 3 miners to a mineral field for optimum income, where do you send the mule too? Or do you just plonk the mules on the same fields as the scv's?

Does a mule exist for gas?

I signed up as protoss since they were all I had played at that point, ~75 games worth up until patch 7. I only just started again in patch 10 and so far I've played my 5 placement matches as random since I figured it was worth getting a better feel for the game as a whole.

Yep you just plonk them onto a mineral patch and they will mine away whether it has scvs already on it or not. And no, no gas mules luckily!
 
fair enough well, would love to give you some games.. i should be home at 6:30 if you want a quick game then, but have to dash out fairly sharpish after that as meeting up with an old friend.

then back at like 9-10ish i guess!

Nah it's alright, there's no need to go cramming an earlier game in. I'll message you ingame once you're online again later on.
