**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Won 4 of my placement matches (probably could have won 5 but I did some stupid **** in my 4th which caused me to lose)

So I'm now in the old Gold Division (now known as platinum). It won't be long until I'm in the Silver Division.
 
Played another 4 vs 4 last night.I took my army of stalker, sentry, collosus, zealots and dark templar and cut right through 3 of the player bases. The rest was quickly finished my my teammates carriers, brood lords and battlecruisers!
Suprising how fast 5 dark templar chopped down 6 collosus

One of their players did get dropped so they said it was 4 vs 3. I reckon I could have almost taken them all myself. 2 left after I drilled through their main bases?!

It did look like we had all the expansions
 
getting poor allies again against diamond ranked players , sad that i have to defend some players early game and end up being targeted first cause of it
 
I've only been playing at around 11pm til 1am the last few nights. We should really get together, form a party and play some 3v3 or 4v4's though. I should be around tonight from 10pm onwards, maybe earlier if I can get out of work early.

Someone did invite me to party whilst I was in a game the other night but I didn't know how to accept whilst in a game, message me first and I would quit out of a random game though to play with OcUkers :)

Really hope battlenet gets some decent social aspects added to it during the downtime. More and easier ways to chat, even general channels, make private channels - not just party chat, clan support etc Anything but more facebook crap that doesn't actually help with real time ingame socialising.

It's put a bit of a downer on my hopes for the game...which is a shame as the core gameplay is fantastic, but it's stuck with Battlenet 2.0. :(

just read it lol , i think if your ranked gold for instance you should be matched against gold ranked players . not like in some of the games i have been in where you against the top diamond ranked players . this seem a little unfair to me as they have a higher skill or have played way more than you
 
Just got in from work, going to have a read of that whilst eating then will be on for the next couple of hours. Doesn't sound good though from what you've said :(

edit: no plans for chat channels, no clan support at release, semi subscription for Brazil and Russia... what the hell is that about? region locked, will have to buy a US client if you want to play with US friends. Quite funny when he said all you'd have to do is go to US Bnet and download the US client if you wanted to play there, then in next question added you'd have to buy an extra client.

Definitely no LAN play - lol and they claim to want to see the growth of Esports, are they blind? The only country where Esports has major sponsors and 10's of thousands of people turning up to watch big final events live and thousands of people on TV watching almost every night is S.Korea where they use LAN to play in booths. They've just done a deal with GOMTV out there, surely they must have set up some LAN feature to eliminate the chance of latency.

I like the game but Bnet 2.0 really is a step backwards. Blizzard have really failed in it's development.

ah screw it, not in the mood to play SC2 now, that was a horrible interview. FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
