reaper = fail vs zerg tho?

2-3 reapers + 3-4 marauders will beat most greedy zerg players who expand quickly and don't make enough units. Reapers kill zerglings so fast. All you have to do is keep your reapers at the back and use the marauders to simply tank damage, while the reapers 1 shot zerglings extremely quickly. I've seen Rhavanna/Shiver/Haemonculus use this strat many times against zerg (top diamond zerg's too) and it works a lot of the time for her. It's a very good strat to do if you see a zerg trying to be greedy with your first reaper.

Good games tonight chaotic.

Just can't get my head around the 4v4's, when either or both teams all rush it's over in minutes, still, the 51 minute one was really good. Definitely think it's that bad 4v4 map that contributes to most of the games being rush fests though.

Think I prefer the 3v3 at the moment, although I'm still looking forward to 2v2v2v2 in SC2.

it still took all 4 of them to take me out , well after they had took you and the other 2 out . i do not think they have come across the fortress that early in game with the six pool zerg rush lol , did you see the number of battle cruisers they had ? . and yes the reapers are a right pain in the *** lol

not posted in a while, been too busy with my band to play sc or even come near a PC! managed to try out some 3v3's and 4v4's last night though, they were quite fun, but don't like the fact everybody is in one base, seems a bit weird! or maybe im so used to Hunters for 3v3/4v4 ^^

managed to get diamond rank in 1v1 though, will probs play some more 1v1's tonight, got withdrawrel symptoms

If anybody wants some games, add meee (Luxotican)

Yeah was talking to chaotic the other day after playing some 4v4's, the map is pretty bad. I personally prefer 3v3, not because the map is much better just because it's not quite as bad as the 4v4 one.

Could do with a couple more players to team up with though, I imagine 4v4's would be much easier with teammates who all helped each other and worked together :)

Been trying quite a few of the custom maps/mods that have sprung up, most are bad but some are quite fun, rocket arena is a nice little warm up, each player controls one marine who fires rockets and can rocket jump, collecting power ups etc.

We need some more 4 vs 4 custom maps without mods or anything, just a well designed 4 vs 4 map. Ive had a few good games of 4 vs 4 where teammates have helped. Most ignore you though. The battles are pretty huge after 20 odd minutes when myself and other have reached max supply.

Had a good one last night where 2 opposition built a load of air units but had not upgraded. I marched through both bases with lev 3 immortals, sentries and dark templar. One of their allies send an overseeer in but it was too late. A terran ally hadnt been doing anything all game (or so it seemed) then out popped a load of lev 2 battlecruisers

Yeah, Kotick needs to have an unfortunate accident on a precarious cliff.

Quite so..very happy i decided to pre-order when it was cheaper

hahah
will not be paying that thanks!
give it 6 months, £10.
can see this being a bit of a flop if the single player is as bad as I've heard.

Getting a bit bored of 3v3, everyone just seems to mass units then it ends in a poorly co-ordinated battle where either side could win.

every time I've tried 3v3 (not managed to even finish loading a 4v4 before 2 people drop) it's been 3 Z vs 2 Z + Me.
stupid really.

Is it possible to move up ladders in the beta? IE Bronze to silver. I've been sitting as rank 1/2 on bronze for a while now...

yea you should be able to. Blizzard hasnt given us any details on the system they use though afaik (presumably to prevent exploits).

Anyway it's not really about the league you're in, it's more about the points you have ;). If you get consistent wins and lots of points, then you should move up to silver.

I get quite the opposite, a total mix of all races but only the odd zerg. e.g. last night 4 vs 4 was T,T,P,Z vs T,P,P,P

Fixed a bug where Ultralisk splash damage was not being properly reduced against armored units.

Ultras are now the same speed as a zergling without the speed upgrade.

looks like the "you were dropped" bug has returned , i was in a 4v4 match and was rebuilding after a n attack and then "you were dropped" . so annoying these bugs are :(

I for one am extreamly happy with the changes in this patch, i think its pretty much what Zerg needed. However its made scouting a little more expensive! thankfully they havn't increased the time of it.
