somebody went phoenix against me last night... they didnt last long vs hydras ^^

cant check the videos at work unfortunatly :(
 
yeah saw that in the patch notes, thats totally imbah, i think some sexy micro will be seen with these, especially against zerg
 
I played 3 games last night. Each time I got pwn'd by air units?

Is there any way to defend you base quickly against air assaults.
 
RE the new patch. Blizzard hate Zerg. (for the time being)

I know the changes are designed to bring in more Ultra play, but until the next round of Ultra Buffs (coming soon apparently) The ultras are not going to be that useful.

What they have done is weaken the early and mid game esp against Protoss (which was an uphill struggle until you got Mutas and now its going to be an uphill struggle with Mutas too.

Terran are still more than capable of pwning Zerg too. With the +1 range on the hellion and the tougher siege tanks and the absence of the Nural parasite until realistically the late game the Thors are going to be able to run around unchecked.

It depends what race you are.. but generally

Zerg - Queen / Spore Crawler
Protoss - Stalkers / Sentry / Photon Cannon
Terran - Marine / Turret

they are the early units for it... theres more units later on :) when your in a game you should be able to click on the help thing at the top of the screen, that gives you a tech tree and tells you waht everything does :)

just have game vs a computer ai (they wont attack you) and that lets you play around with units for your preferred race :)

Edit: if you show me some replays of where your having trouble i can probably help you more :)

I have installed the beta and it wont let me click connect when I put my username in the box, is this normal? Been stuck like this for 2 days now.

mehuk - You can have one off me provided you dont play it once then not touch it. Want it to go to someone who will actually play it (as I did pay £30 for mine a while ago)
 
The new phoenix looks a bit unfair. It looks like it can fly both ways, so spin around and attack whilst its still flying forward.

Why cant the mothership get some of its strength back? Its about as hard as a zergling now
