i just quit a placement 4v4 match , i had a team mate destroy my scv's cause i was mining at the same minerals . wtf is sc2 coming to when this happens , it's like you cant have it it's mine mine i tell you . throwing his dummy out and stamping on the spot mine mine mine , well you get the drift lol

heh yep the more players the higher chance to get a bad 'un, random 4v4 are more likely than not terrible. Still ways to have a bit of fun though.
Although that 3v3 map encourages bad behaviour as well with only those 2 expansions on the high ground at each end

yes 3v3 is bad , i just played a game with 2 bronze players . it is my first 3v3 placement match , we was against 3 diamond ranked players . i was the last to get wiped out cause of my turrets and marauders , did not go well at all and i wonder why i am placed with a bad team against some of the best ?

Placements are completely random. I like getting put in lower leagues anyway and working my way up. In fact I lost my last few placements on purpose earlier for 1v1. Though I almost won with a probe rush in one of them.

not so much random me thinks , nearly all the games i have had in the last few days have been against platinum or diamond ranked players . are there more in these ranks or something ? , in most i make it hard for them to win but others not so . seems odd how they get 30 stalkers and 20 dt's in less than 15 min , let alone they only have one base

Last night I tried logging in an optio box appeared for offline play, it was greyed out but this to me indicates there will be offline play when Bnet is down.
chaotic - I would be annoyed as would any other player, if you started mining at my minerals. Fair enough if the other guy has loads of extra

it was at my expansion though and not near his base (next to mine) , i had scv's mining there before he had even built his cc there . i did not have the minerals to built one there yet hence i just sent scv's
In that case he was just being a tit. If I was you i have have attacked his main with Dark T or something!

Yea i must admit i was a bit bad once...spawned in the middle as zerg, threw up some lings and took both high ground expansions

I remember you saying a couple of times when I played you, that the game does not always display your mineral line properly.
I had this issue last night, some of my minerals were missing, the minimap was blacked out and there were a few other black bars around. I alt+tab out of the game and alt+tab back in and it resolved the issue. (although on my PC alt+tab takes sodding ages. I was lucky it was a practice match and didn't cost me anything)

Overclocked graphics card maybe? I used to have my 5770 overclocked and worked fine in every game. When I played SC2 i had crashes and random things like messed up minimap and green lines all over the screen so now its at stock again
Also check the config file, I have my FPS locked to 30 in the menu and 60 in game. Without the limit I read it could cook some graphics cards!

My Graphics card is stock everything, however it is showing signs of hardware failures. There are a few Pixels out of place, the post screen on boot-up has a few columns where the test is not white, and in SC I have polygons that can end up anywhere (although thats not as bad as my other gfx card which had the polygons going to the other end of the map)
I was using a 7300 now using my brothers old 7900
At some point I will buy a new gfx card. but probably when the weather is a bit cooler as my Study is like a sauna over summer and I cant imagine cycling hot air through the PC is doing any of the components any good.

only time i get that now is when crossfire is on , i have to disable cat ai to play sc2
