better than quitting though?
Its considered bad manners to hang around in a game where you have clearly lost.
You will often see pros GG out of games where they have a huge base but their army has just been slaughtered. Why delay the inevitable when you can load up a new game and start afresh. You virtually never achieve anything by delaying a defeat. You'll stand a better chance of climbing the ladder by playing more games and winning the ones you can win than by drawing out every game for no apparent reason.
Had some noob try proxy rax my base earlier I had a drone in his base and it was a bit of a give away that all he had was 3 supply depots and nothing else. So I put down a spine crawler and a bling nest in my base pumped out a few lings spotted his 3 rax sat back for a min waiting for my lings to amass and my spine to build made a few banelings took out his building bunker with some lings and his marines with my blings. He lifted 2 of his 3 rax and floated home, I killed the 3rd.
At this point I knew I was ahead I had 2 bases he had 1. So I droned up. He tired a hellion drop but I dealt with that with my queens. I then massed lings took a third and attacked his base. He lifted off (predictably) so I had an overlord follow the CC, put down a spire and lolled. Mutas popped chased his CC around for a while then he realised it was futile and GG'd.
I mean WTF really did he expect to make a miraculous come back with a starport 2 rax and a CC All of which had been floating around for over 3 min when I had total map control 3 bases and a huge army. Seems Terrans think that floating off and postponing defeat is a valid tactic.
Again same with Toss if you have no army and no income whats the point in building a load of pylons which will show up on the map anyway as you have no nexus?
