**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Okay, so a) he's built a pylon, gateway, zealot AND dragged his slow-lot-ass to your base. So if you do not have a barracks + at least one marine, there's something really wrong.

Post a replay of this game as I think if you're dying to this then there's some bigger problems.

He came with his prove when i was on like 10 supply which attacked my svc and it completely raped it. My svc did almost nothing in comparison. Then i sent another svc after it which did nothing and nearly died so i ran away and tried to build another barracks which he found and killed the svc. Probe did tons more damage to the svc than vice versa. I was on like 10 supply surely i wouldnt have a marine by then or not 2 at least.

Send two scvs if this is proving a big problem.

Normally one is enough, but as soon as the probe breaks off its attack, send one scv back to mining. The rax building scv is hard to kill actually, because it moves around. I always try this though :)
 
ITs very Supply depot heavy if they have managed to do this. It gives it away their their teching or powering up behind their wall. either way won't have many units. Counter appropriatly.

the 2nd depot doesnt come untill i have 16/17 supply. If you've not scouted them by then, Scout earlier. ive never had this problem scouting a Terran unless i've been half asleep, in which case its my own fault ^^

If their walling themselves in TvT then its near enough a free win if your going for the said 1-1-1 BO anyway.
Protoss get a very early scout with their 9 Pylon
Zerg scout early with their overlord/10 Drone.

yeh i see your points BUT if you dont wall off with zerg you face getting rushed badly within the first few minutes , surely its better to have the wall off and sacrifice 2 marines?
 
heh, I love attacking the barracks scv with my probe. I do it every game. :p

The solution is simple, just bring another scv to kill the probe. If the barracks scv is nearly dead, bring it out and put the attacking scv in to build. The probe definitely won't be able to kill the new scv before the barracks is built.

Dont get what you mean?

In TvZ you should always wall, but in the other Matchups theres no point.

The idea of you scouting after your first depot will be to see what their doing. Theres no way they can rush you that early game if you scout. If they have 6 pooled, then you quickly wack another supply down and get your marine out with scv's to the wall to repair.. and you have the economical advantage still.

Its watchable, lag seems to correlate with the amount of units on screen, which you had quite a lot of in that game :o:p

Good game btw, storms seemed very, very effective :p
 
I know, he's Terran. He should tech switch to a million rauders, then switch to mmg, then mass tank viking into mass banshee, bc.

Man, I hate Terran.

Only good thing about them is that warm glow you feel when you crush one and roll the sticky mess of their remains between your uber protoss fingers.
 
Really struggling when against terrans that turtle and go battlecruisers, what should I have done in this game?


Also I really struggle (as is probable obvious) to macro more than 2 bases, I hotkey my main to '5, and my secondary to '6. I then hotkey the rest to 8-9-0. Is it just practice, or should I hotkey all my bases to one num?

I hotkey all nexii to 5, first to 6, nat at 7, third at 8 and if i get a 4th 9.

So if I wanna chrono stuff (usually warpgates) i got 5-c-c-c-c and basically on 3 bases it's unlimited chrono for 10 warpgates :)
