**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Fair play, cannot seem to win any 4v4 at the moment. Dropped form gold to silver and now rank 3 and losing game after game. When I check profiles i find my team mostly bronze and their team with diamond/plat players.. Extremely frustrating!

f'in rushers ALL DAY today... DT rushes, siege tank rushes, proxy rax, 4 gate, med drops with marines.. on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on........

do people realise the game does actually go past the 10 minute mark?????

sigh.

I imagine they probably do yes, however many people don't want every game to be 20+ minutes long.

Scout and prepare for common rushes, defeat a rush and you will always be at an advantage unless you sacrificed econ to do it.

I can't seem to join 'OverclockersUK', it says 'Private Channel'... :(

People tend to rush quite a bit in 2v2... During a recent game I got rushed with zealots and my partner lost his base and I just managed to hold mine after I had a just got a PF at my natural. My main was destroyed though...

I then managed to just about hold my PF while I got enough maruders to kill thier staplers and bases :D

I have been watching a lot of HD Starcraft and Husky vids, then working hard on my Macro and some Micro (still struggle with that side)

But it has meant that my win streak has gone up a lot. Currently 4th in Silver but my last Win was against a 3rd place platinum zerg after 34min match

Watching better players play is defiantly the way to go to improve.

I find this too, I'm STILL in bronze, mainly because I've not played that many games, but watching lots of Day9 casts gives you an idea of what the better players can pull off... I've been counterattacking a lot more lately, and it's suprising how often it wins games...

I wouldn't worry too much about micro at all to be honest, you'll beat far more people with good macro than you will with good micro. I've won plenty of games by attacking into an army with pretty much no micro and just rallying units into the battle.

Obviously as you progress through the leagues micro becomes more and more important.

Yep, I've found unit numbers help more than trying to keep your units alive for longer, and long as you don't so stupid stuff like suicide loads of marines into a wall of siege tanks!

This guy won a game by just sending he units to attack... just before he phoned an ambulance for his wife:

So you can't get less micro intensive than that! :D
