I got the same while having an epic match against a 'toss player, it was really close and I was just starting to win when I drop dropped! :(
 
Yeah, this game has taught me a fair bit of patience :p Whether it's cheese (I don't often use that word, as it's usually as much the victim's fault), BM, getting dropped, or other stuff.
 
Ive just started laddering again after not bothering for ages. Starting to beat 2.6k diamonds frequently, feeling quite good :D. Aiming for the masters league!

Played a few ladder games yesterday, lost a horrible one vs a 4 rax marine push on Steppes :( no idea how to scout it assuming i cant hide a probe after the first marine comes out...
 
Try suiciding probes or checking for bunker to see the army composition also no gas obviously says marine heavy army, perhaps 2 rax marine fe or 4 rax

There's the replay. I've been using a late scout recently to help with cybernetics core timing. Maybe if i'd done the earlier scout I wouldve seen no gas there, couldve skipped the robo and got 3 gates or something..

Felt a bit strange when i didnt see any addon at all on the rax..

I get that a lot, but seriously once you have your first game you realise its not that bad at all. Just press the 'find match' and think **** it. Thats what i do :D

Cheers! :). Hmm the only thing I can think of is check to see if hes got any gas and maybe put a probe up his ramp to see if theres are a **** tonne of marines. Other than that your on your own :p

ps: obviously if no gas, hes doing some sort of marine cheese

Yeaaa, tough to get a probe past the wall though without a really early scout. Have been playing around with scouting late (after assimilator/second pylon) and it works out really nicely, but this gives me pause :(

Honestly though i think if i'd played better i might have won that one, screwed up a forcefield and didnt have any energy left on sentries..

surprised you didn't make it at 2700! i have friends who were on 2300 and less who got put in, so not sure how it was calculated. i am zerg 2400 on my first account and didn't get it either.

on other matters, why is playing random so tough? on my new account i just can't break diamond as ran, and am stating to think i never will. my zerg play seems to have got worse meanwhile my t and p play is just stagnating. any pointers??

Hoping to break master league before the reset, as i'll be rerolling random afterwards, so unlikely to even see diamond for a while :p
 
bronze is where all the pro players are now.. its the best action. (im totally not in bronze) (:()

in other news, i just played a protoss that built everything in the middle of Delta Quadrant and only pumped out Immortal's and Zelot's with Legs :confused: MMM sorted him out :D :cool: (he was also Silver) :rolleyes:
 
The relatively minor issue I've with those that clearly don't belong in Gold/Plat is that I of course give them way more credit than they deserve. Although upon realising it I most often crack a smile and proceed to toy around before finally stomping them, I have indeed on rare instances been caught out by their...umm...unusual play :rolleyes::o

played a 3v3 with a plat player in it (across 1v1,2v2,3v3) - honestly the stupidest player i have ever seen across any league.

tell me - why would you not kill a nydus worm that is at the back of your base and you have clearly seen only to then let it dump over 30 units into your base TWICE!, destroy all your harvesters and all your 3 tech buildings?
and then have your team mate have to come and clear it up.... i was godsmacked when i then found out he was plat! my gran could have done a better job.

that always helps, good point. :) i will post replays of a loss with each race from my games tonight, am sure there will be ample to choose from :p

[ possible spoiler ] on other matters, anyone watched jinro idea series yet? wholly disappointed myself, was expecting so much more from the series

maybe his gran was playing on his account?
 
ahahahahahhah game 4 hero marine

Yeah it was dissapointing we didn't see any epic macro games but on the other hand I somewhat enjoyed these games
