OS hard drive keeps turning off

i have just noticed that my OS hard drive keeps turning off randomly i wondered why my desktop wasnt responding at times since last night
i get the clicking sound just like when you connect the power connector when the drive goes off for a few seconds the it comes back on this happens at random times.
i have checked the power options and my hard drives are not set to turn off at all

Is this a sign of a failing hard drive?

Set the your drives to power down after 1min. Let them spin down, then set them to never power down.

Swap the power and data cables for another set. If it still does it, it's probably the drive.
