So the GF has a Hero on 3, and I'd probably describe her data usage as 'light'. She uses it basically for gmail and the occasional webpage browse and a couple of apps.

Anyhow, she just got a text (or email, she didn't say) that she's gone over the fair usage limit for this month and that they're going to cut her off. Given her usage pattern, this seems a little strange. The only thing I can think of is that an app is sitting in the background sucking in data, but the only new apps she's used in the past week or so is the tube status, specifically the line status widget. She knows how to use the task killer and says she's been killing stuff that she's not using.

What are the chances this is a ****-up on 3's part? Anyone else had any experience with this?

Find out what her useage is ie her data limit then speak to 3 and find out exactly how much they say she has used.

Wouldnt be surprised if its 3's mistake...still dont understand why people sign up with those clueless muppets:p

So, had the app actually exceeded 1gb in data or was it also an error on Three's part? High levels of 3g download will kill a battery and hopefully would be noticed.
