** OUR SECOND 8 PACK APPROVED OC BUNDLE: OVERCLOCKED, DISCOUNTED, ELITE TIER VERY FAST!! **

I have tested this one yes. Faulty MB. Did a couple of hours Real Bench with full memory utilized. Now testing non-avx Prime and Valley running all at once. This runs a couple of hours I ship it back.

Gary whats your RMA number please?? and NO GIGABYTE ARE NOT HAVING ISSUES with X99. There RMA rate similar / same as other vendors.

8 Pack that is amazing customer support :)

^^ Thanks

Ok Gary I think it will be here tomorrow then. Its for sure not here yet. As soon as it arrives it will come to me.

Mingey I missed shipping today but will ship back to you tomorrow.

Here is a screen of some the stability testing on Mingey's Bundle please bare in mind I only used slim 240 rad and minimum pump and fan settings to ensure in his system with fans turned uo and pump at full its gonna run well. Also a screen shot of 20 Boot rebooter cycle I did to check for cold boot some people have reported.

Mingeys bundle was initailly suffering from cold boot issues so this is how I fixed.
Vrin 1.85v
Vcore 1.2v
Ring 1.25v
SA +0.25v

and DRAM volts 1.4v.

As you can see from screens below it then booted 20 times straight no issue. I think the correct combination of SA, Ring and DRAM voltages are the key.

8pack your a star thanks very much for that, at least I was not going crazy with the faulty motherboard lol, thanks for checking the rest over, much appreciated 10/10, although mem @ 1.4 ?

Didn't think it was Cold Boot problems as my symptoms was only showing if I used Quad Channel, i.e BSOD, Games crashing, benchmarks/stabilty tests failing

What was the exact problem with the mptherboard please ?

Sorry for the questions/clarifications, but was the PC unstable etc with the voltages for level 1 OC at the start of the thread, as I have reservations about having a "bundle" that needs these extra voltages to be stable at the level 1 OC, which in turn will limit my chances to further overclock, I would have preferred a bundle shipped back to me that works at the voltages/settings and not these inflated ones.

No mate. Checked around lunch.

Mingey seriously the Vcore is 1.2v come on man. SA, IO, Vrin, Cache etc etc are not effecting OC of the CPU frequency at all. It will run at 100% the settings as described but there was a cold boot issue after 10 or so reboots. Who would normally check so many reboots even?? Which I fixed by adjusting ancillary voltages. Each component tested separately is fine. I discussed this previously with other guys and the complexity of reboot on a quad channel system and memory training. The CPU is just as capable as any of going higher with the same or higher Vcore.

All good, all good, sorry for the questions, Quality Engineer by trade, I like to know the ins and outs etc, trust you 110%, I'm just curious more so, yeah I saw the issue previously with the cold boot, just was not an issue on previous motherboard, thanks again, look forward to re-building it.

Yeah I understand man. Maybe CPU when cold just needs touch of IMC voltage Cache voltage or mems just need a touch. I did not test each setting in turn too much maybe you could do that.

Gary for sure I don't have. I will track and trace tomorrow morning.

Gary started testing your stuff out. Thought it was board issue but appears not.

Seems simple VL4 needs to be around 1.5v this is memory pin on OC socket. Running Prime non AVX now on triple AIO with one fan mounted ;) 8Pack ghetto testing.

That is gobbledygook to me lol. It's strange that it used to boot fine on the stock settings but now doesn't. Also thought I would mention that I got a error meesage saying that the bios was corrupt

Also when I got sent out the b grade motherboard I could not get into the bios until I updated it for some reason. Hope this helps with solving the problem
