Out of date sausages

I've just eaten some pork sausages without realising they were a week past their use by date.

Is this likely to give me food poisoning or something?

A week is quite a while but you might be lucky. Wait and see is all you can do really. I would be careful in future and check dates before you eat them.

They smelt a little funny when i was cooking them but they tasted fine.

take the packaging back and kick up mary hell. See what free stuff you can get. if you don't get loads of free stuff. Then report them.

Agreed. Also while in the middle of the complaint, demand to use the nearest toilet immediately! Could be a good bargaining chip during negotiations.
