Sorry, I have not just used the 4870 all this time mate. Ive had 5870's in crossfire and 6950's. I just stopped gaming and sold them on. Just to clear that up.

I've got the sapphire vapor-x 7950 and its been all good so far.
Flashed it to the 7970 bios and at the moment have it clocked at 1150 core 1500 mem. Not voltage locked but I have heard a few people talking about voltage problems with theirs.

I ended up goin for the MSI 7950 and im running at max ccc clocks (1100 core/1575 mem).

Are you using the 12.11beta4 driver? http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst1211betadriver.aspx

You could probably squeeze a little more out of it with voltage tweaks and using unlocked Afterburner to get to 10k points, but in gameplay you wouldn't really notice any difference. How does the card perform when gaming?

The card performs really well. Its a beast . I installed afterburner but it is just the same as ccc it wont let me go past 1100/1575?

Find the Enable Unofficial Overclocking EULA in the afterburner config file and put this after it:

I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it

Also change Enable Unofficial Overclocking to "1".
