This series is brilliant

Very telling that tv series such as outlander and the affair get 1-2 pages on here, and drivel like agents of shield are 100 pages long :D

Can't wait for series 3, I think the first episode will be amazing

Caught onto this 3 weeks ago, and though I'd give it a shot as its on amazon prime, after 2 episodes I was hooked, watched all 3 seasons now and cannot wait for the 4th season later on this year. I am almost inclined to buy the books I liked it so much.

It's thanks to this show I want to have a holiday in the highlands

Thought season 3 was great once it got going.....a bit like season 2, slow to start then kicks up a gear

Seasons seem to be over too quickly though, now another long wait till season 4

It's funny because on the other hand I'm surprised this drivel gets more than an OP post.

Watched the first episode ages ago with the gf of the time and we were bored to tears with the entire thing - plot, script, acting, cinematography.

You only have to look at the episode discussion on Reddit when this aired to see how the fanbase is built up by. Season 2 got hard for me to push through and was loosing interest but they ramped it up with s3 after episode 5 or 6, it's one of only a handful of shows I find actually displays emoticons well to the point where you feel what they are.

Missus watches this but I really don't see the appeal. Current season set almost entirely in America plays like an extended Last Of The Mohicans with a bit of soft porn bonking.

Personally I think far more should be getting made of the paradoxes created by Claire Randall as she brings modern(ish) stuff like penicillin and now anaesthetic into the late 18th century, years before it was actually invented. But, and I'm guessing that's how the books are written, more emphasis on the historical romance than the time travel and sci-fi elements. And the Jamie character constantly referring to her as "Sassenach" really gets on the niggle...

This started going downhill when her daughter came into the show.....watched the last few episodes are it's utter crap compared to the earlier seasons.
